Before I read your last post I was going to advise you to not write back anything because elders do not deserve the time of day. After reading what you sent them I think it's hilarious and tell them exactly what you think of them......they are a joke.

toughest question anyone can ask, if the love of your life, and mate/wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend messed around on you, whether it be once or for years, how would you handle it and what would you do, think about it slowly and carefully.. wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.. it's said that 50 % of marriages are affected by an affair, it's probaly alot higher.. did you notice any affairs in your congregation ???.
i look back now, and think, oh yeah there was.

I will go on the chopping block and admit I cheated on a long term girlfriend. We were together over 4 years. She forgave me but our relationship was never the same. 1 1/2 years later she cheated on me with her boss at work. She started to confide in him our relationship problems and over the course of that year they got extremely close. She fell in love with him and dumped me. They are married now and expecting a child. It's still painful to think about. If I had not cheated on her I don't think she would have left me for her boss and we would still be together.

got called on by 2 elders a month ago w/ allegation that i was "living in sin."
I'm surprised they bothered to call. They would show up at my place whenever they felt like it hoping to see a girl come out. After 2 months I had enough and decided that it was time for df'ing #3. I told the girl I was dating at the time to answer the door wearing my robe. I came to the door in my underwear and told them you have your dirt now be on your way. Believe it or not they tried to get me in a JC meeting. Why I have no idea. Maybe they wanted to hear the salacious details. I cannot believe I tolerated that kind of behavior back then. Never again.

I'm cleaning out my closet!!!
by purplesofa inlooking in my closet this morning, i saw all these clothes that i bought for the meetings .............. i would not be caught dead in now!!!!!!!.
long frumpy skirts........blouses the my grandma would not wear........i really struggled, and even was more "hip" than most.........ugggggggg.
did you experiance the same thing??.

it wasn't for food, a car payment, house payment or anything like that.

All those lost years, and there's nothing you can do to get them back. Nothing except cry. I've seen it over and over. So that is why I give the advice I do. And so maybe, after all these years, even after your terrible upbringing and the awful way they have treated you, maybe you could reach deep inside yourself and make the effort to improve your family relations. It may not go anywhere, but when the inevitable time comes that I spoke of, at least your conscience will be clear and you'll know that you tried.
David there is nothing to improve. We are not a family and they only talk to me about "necessary family business" and of course to ask me for money to go to Bethel. I am not going to contact them. I am not a Christian so the whole turn the other cheek thing does not fly with me. They are the ones wasting away the years. Not me. When I am on my death bed I will have no regrets where my parents are concerned.
